Présentation

EcoMédias est un projet mené par l’Union nationale de l’audiovisuel libre du Faso (UNALFA) et Canal France International (CFI). Cofinancé par l’Union Européenne et CFI, ce projet d’un montant total de 352 000€ vise à renforcer la qualité du suivi des politiques publiques au Burkina Faso à travers les médias. Il permettra, grâce à des analyses de qualité, de renforcer la presse et son rôle en tant qu’acteur central de la redevabilité, fournissant au citoyen burkinabè les informations permettant d’apprécier les résultats des politiques publiques.

EcoMédias vise à renforcer les capacités des médias burkinabè grâce à des formations, afin de traiter des questions économiques et budgétaires par des analyses appropriées. De façon spécifique, une soixantaine de journalistes bénéficieront durant 3 ans d’ateliers de renforcement sur ces thématiques avec notamment, un appui à la rédaction, l’investigation, la recherche et l’infographie.
Au total, plus de 600 articles ou émissions seront produits dans les médias burkinabè, y compris en langues nationales. Des conférences, émissions interactives impliquant les citoyens (téléphone, les réseaux sociaux …) et des micros programmes, seront organisées en synergie par les médias. Le projet, qui commence ce mois de juin, se déroulera jusqu’en mai 2021.

Cette initiative d‘appui aux médias burkinabè s’inscrit dans le prolongement du projet UE-CFI mené en 2015-2016 pour accompagner le processus électoral par une information citoyenne professionnelle pour la consolidation de la démocratie et de l’Etat de droit au Burkina Faso.
